Day 31- Malaga

Today we spent the day roaming around Malaga.
Firstly, we visited the markets. These markets are very much like the ones we saw in Narbonne with loads of the freshest fruit, vegges, cheeses, cold meats, fish, meat etc. So much choice and soooo cheap compared to home.
Cherries for 2€, $3.50 a kilo. Everything very good prices but of course the wages are far less than ours for most.
I have never seen more varieties of olives than here. Everywhere you go they will offer you a small bowl of olives and all have a very different taste. All green not black like ours.
Our cultural experience today was a visit to Picasso's Museum.
Dinner at El Pimpi, a must visit if in Malaga according to the locals. This restaurant overlooks the Roman ruins. Food ok, I think it is more the atmosphere and the overload of people watching is the attraction.
A visit to the highest rooftop bar in Malaga at the Marriott Hotel, just near our hotel, on the way home was too good to ignore. You can't see it but I'm edging my way around a rooftop pool with the Cathedral in the background. Magic spot well worth a visit if in Malaga.
Views of the port from the bar.

The city of Malaga from above at our wonderful vantage point.
Malaga has been very different to the other places we have been in so far in Spain as they have been a lot older and more historical but that is not to say Malaga is not worth a visit on a tour through the country. It is younger with a fun feel about it.
Off to Granada tomorrow.
