Day 14- Narbonne to Portugal, 13th June

First stop today Narbonne station. France I feel thinks they are up with the times and the rest of the world but their stations are from the last century. Stairs, no lifts, no escalators, no ramps only stairs. If you are in a wheelchair they do have access for you behind a locked door which is good but not good for the general public who are not quiet there yet( wheelchair bound I mean).
Carrying the heavy suitcases up and down the stairs is a challenge with keeping them safe. There is always one suitcase left unattended for a short time. Will fill you in if interested later.
Narbonne to Paris - 4 hrs. The trains are very comfortable once on them.
Cab ride from Paris Station to Orly Airport.
Then a two hour flight to Porto.
Arrived at hotel again very late after a full day of travel, so straight out to see the area and have dinner. Eating out in Porto is very late, heaps of choice everywhere. We were dining after 9.45 and the place was buzzing and restaurants full.
Our accommodation again has been spot on and Hotel do Bolsa is right in the middle of old town, great location.
Pictures from fifth floor room overlooking the start of a restaurant street where the umbrellas are in the background.
View from the window the other way, as you can see not very far from the Douro River and the Ribeira waterfront.
We were introduced to a new wine called Vinho Verde(green wine) very nice and low in alcohol content.
Haven't seen much of Porto but can tell it's going to be a city we should have spent more time in.
