Day 10 - 3rd day on the boat

We are still in Homps today as we woke to a very windy and unpleasant day so decided to stay another day. Caught up on a few things around the boat in the morning. 

What else do you do on a not so nice day but go to lunch. Across the walk bridge on the other side of the canal is a restaurant of choice today.

We haven't met any Australians on the canal so far but today we sat in the restaurant next to two couples, one from Perth and the other from Pymble. Got talking to them a little at the end of lunch and they were travelling in the opposite direction to us but starting and finishing in the same towns. We are going from Trebes to Narbonne and they are from Narbonne to Trebes. They gave us a few hints on where to go.

The couples from Australia had moored their boat just outside the restaurant and were having a drink on the upper deck of their boat and invited us up. It was a lovely afternoon drinking wine in the sun( and the wind) with like minded Aussies.

Sleeping on a boat in the wind is an experience with the water lapping the side of the boat right next to your head, like it is playing a tune with drums all night.
